Turning is very meditative for me. I'm a retired cabinetmaker of 33 years and have been working with timber and wood almost all of my life. My journey in woodturning began in high school when I first turned on a lathe. Following high school, I acquired a Craftsman lathe in the 80s. Many years later, in 2001, I purchased a Canadian made General lathe. I continued my journey in turning wood mentored by a local, master woodturner. As my friend taught me many of the nuances of this craft, it ignited a flame in me that became a passion. I've been turning a variety of woods ever since. I love to see what the timber decides to become!
